Milton Gastrin was signed by the Washington Capitals to a three-year entry-level contract valued at $877,500 annually in the NHL and $85,000 in the AHL. He was selected as the 37th overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. Gastrin is currently attending his first development camp with the Capitals. Expected to be loaned to MoDo Hockey in Sweden for the 2025-26 season, he previously recorded 42 points while playing in the J20 junior league and led Team Sweden to a silver medal at the Under-18 World Junior Championship.

Milton Gastrin was the 37th overall pick in last weekend's NHL draft and is taking part in his first development camp with the Capitals.
Gastrin played the majority of his draft year in the J20 junior league, recording 42 points in 40 games and serving as captain of Team Sweden at the Under-18 World Junior Championship.
The Capitals expect Gastrin to be loaned to MoDo in Sweden for the 2025-26 campaign after he spends next year with MoDo's senior team.
