"The Washington Capitals recalled forward Ethen Frank from the AHL's Hershey Bears on Friday morning. Frank returns to the Capitals after being cut from the club's training camp roster on October 5, clearing waivers the next day. The 27-year-old winger has two goals in two games for the Bears so far this season, joining Andrew Cristall as the only players on the team with more than one point."
"Frank's recall comes as Pierre-Luc Dubois remains out injured with a lower-body injury he suffered against the New York Rangers last weekend. Dubois, who has missed the past two days of practice, took the ice for Friday's morning skate at MedStar Capitals Iceplex in a light blue no-contact jersey. Dubois, while set to miss his second game in a row, is not listed on injured reserve per the NHL, while defenseman Dylan McIlrath still is."
Ethen Frank, 27, was recalled from the Hershey Bears after being cut from Washington's training camp and clearing waivers. He has two goals in two AHL games this season and appeared in 24 NHL games last season, recording seven points (4g, 3a). Pierre-Luc Dubois is out with a lower-body injury sustained against the New York Rangers and missed recent practices, skating in a no-contact jersey. Vincent Iorio was waived, freeing a roster spot. Because Frank cleared waivers earlier, he can remain on the NHL roster for 30 days or up to 10 games without re-clearance.
