Capitals announce Martin Fehervary underwent knee surgery and will be out for remainder of playoffs

Washington Capitals defenseman Martin Fehervary will miss the rest of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs following successful knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus. He injured his knee during an April 15 game against the New York Islanders but continued to play until the end of regulation. Fehervary had an impressive regular season, playing 81 games, achieving career highs of 25 points and 20 assists. In his absence, Alex Alexeyev and other veteran defensemen will fill in for the playoffs.
Fehervary underwent a successful surgical procedure yesterday to repair the meniscus and will miss the rest of the playoffs.
He posted career highs in points (25) and assists (20), skating 19:00 of ice time per game.
