During the skate, he split line rush reps down the middle with Justin Sourdif, skating between Aliaksei Protas and Ryan Leonard on the team's second line. Dubois has yet to record his first point this season in three games after posting a career high 66 points (20g, 46a) in 82 games with the Capitals last year."
"Frank was able to be freely sent back to the AHL's Hershey Bears, as he had already cleared waivers when he was cut from the Capitals' training camp roster and hadn't been on the NHL roster for 30 cumulative days or played in 10 games. In two games with the Caps this fall, he recorded one assist. The Bears are 1-3-1 to start their season and just lost veteran winger Sheldon Rempal to the KHL. Frank had two goals in two games with Hershey before being recalled by the Capitals."
Pierre-Luc Dubois was activated from injured reserve ahead of the Capitals' game versus the Ottawa Senators after missing five straight games with a lower-body injury sustained on October 12. Dubois resumed full practice following no-contact skates and took second-line center reps between Aliaksei Protas and Ryan Leonard, splitting line rushes with Justin Sourdif. The 27-year-old has played three games this season without a point after recording a career-high 66 points last year. Winger Ethen Frank was loaned back to the AHL's Hershey Bears after clearing waivers; he had one NHL assist and two goals with Hershey.
