Louie Belpedio opened the scoring for Hershey, while Wilmer Skoog, Robert Mastrosimone, and Trevor Carrick scored for Charlotte in the second period. Bogdan Trineyev scored early in the third and Ryan Chesley tied the game with 10:47 remaining. Two Checkers players received 10-minute misconducts and were effectively ejected.
