Andrew Cristall's junior career with the Spokane Chiefs has concluded as they were eliminated in the WHL finals. Despite a disappointing end, Cristall had an outstanding postseason run with notable accomplishments including scoring in eight consecutive games. He concluded the regular season as the top scorer in the WHL. As a recent draft pick by the Washington Capitals, he is poised to start his professional career with the Hershey Bears, adding experience from previous training camps and playoff runs that might allow him to contribute immediately.
Cristall scored Spokane's first goal in the 4-2 loss - his only goal in five championship series games, giving him 41 points (21g, 20a) in 19 playoff games.
Normally don't think that most incoming CHL players are capable of jumping into the Calder Cup Playoffs mid-stream, but Cristall would be one of those exceptions.
