"Yeah, I mean obviously great play all around, Started from breakout, and I think this play from Mikes, I mean, oh god, my mom would score from that."
"That's just unbelievable. He did like everything for me. That's a great work by everyone, started from D-zone, but this play, it's unbelievable."
"He kinda embarrassed me. He's done a lot of cooler things to me so far this year. I mean, anytime I can help a teammate score like that, it's good."
Aliaksei Protas tallied his third goal in four games on a highlight-reel finish after Connor McMichael raced to a puck near the corner and executed a twister pass to a wide-open Protas on Andrei Vasilevskiy's shortside. Vasilevskiy was fooled as McMichael appeared to be wrapping around the net, giving Protas a layup. Protas credited the play to a team breakout and McMichael's touch and celebrated by reaching up to his helmet in disbelief. McMichael downplayed the celebration, noting Protas had done cooler things to him and that he was glad to help a teammate. The assist marked McMichael's first point of the season after three scoreless games, and he played center after Pierre-Luc Dubois sat out with an injury; McMichael centered the second line between Protas and Tom Wilson while Spencer Carbery used the unit in a direct line.
