GameSpot is moving!

GameSpot is moving from a custom CMS to WordPress VIP to reduce website maintenance and focus on innovation. GameSpot accounts will transfer to the new site using the same email and password, with no re-registration or password reset emails. Old user-generated components will not be available yet, based on usage patterns and competitive pressures. The migration will roll out gradually, splitting traffic between the new and old sites for a period while issues are resolved. During the window, users who land on the new site can still access old contributions through specific login, forums, private messages, and profile URLs that continue to direct to the old site. The new site adds updated branding, modernized page layouts, improved readability, and faster loading for images and ads.
