Xbox Horror Game OD Gets New Unreal Engine Trailer
"At Xbox, we empower creators to push boundaries. OD was absolutely that kind of opportunity, an opportunity to support something truly visionary. And development is well underway. Kojima is innovating in gameplay, story, and player engagement,"
"The three-minute-long trailer, titled 'Knock', showed first-person footage of Sophia Lillis' character inside a house. She strikes a match and lights a few candles before hearing ominous knocks on the door. The door eventually opens, and an unseen supernatural entity enters and grabs the character, seemingly frozen on the spot with fear."
"one step higher"
Kojima Productions unveiled a new in-engine teaser for OD during its Beyond the Strand event celebrating the studio's 10th anniversary. The game is being developed in Unreal Engine in collaboration with Jordan Peele and Xbox Game Studios and features actors Sophia Lillis, Udo Kier, and Hunter Schafer. Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said development is well underway and praised the project's ambition. Kojima described OD as merging game and film systems and said its technology is "one step higher" than Death Stranding 2. The three-minute trailer titled 'Knock' shows intense first-person horror moments rendered in-engine.
