Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Is Getting A New, Long-Awaited Class Next Year

Space Marine 2 will continue receiving free content into 2026, with the Techmarine announced as the seventh playable class arriving in Patch 12 expected Q1 2026. The Techmarine will be able to use a Techmarine-exclusive weapon, the Omnissiah Axe, and reflects Adeptus Mechanicus lore. Year 2 content includes multiple new PvE missions across Patches 11–13, new PvP arenas, a new Siege mode map, progression updates, and cosmetic DLC packs for several Space Marine chapters. The second year begins September 4 with an anniversary update adding a Helbrute PvP mode, new enemies, weapons, and additional missions. Saber Interactive sold seven million copies and has started development on Space Marine 3 while continuing updates.
Aside from the Techmarine, the Year 2 Battle Plan includes multiple new PvE missions coming as part of Patch 11, 12, and 13, new PvP arenas, a new map for the game's Siege mode, progression updates, and more. The updates will also coincide with the release of cosmetic DLC packs for various Space Marine chapters, including the Blood Angels, Iron Hands, Salamanders, Raven Guard, and others.

It's been a big year for Space Marine 2, with Saber Interactive announcing in June the game had sold seven million copies. Saber Interactive announced it has officially started development on Space Marine 3, even as it continues to deliver more free Space Marine 2 updates. Those updates included the addition of a new Horde mode and better mod support.
