Vampire Survivors Is Getting Online Co-Op For Up To Four Players
"Up to four players can fight against the undead together in the roguelike game when version 1.14 drops later this year. Poncle revealed the new online co-op mode for Vampire Survivors on YouTube. The trailer--seen below--shows how players can either create or join a lobby, with an ID number seemingly utilized to group up. It's unclear whether there will be cross-play at this time."
"The Vampire Survivors video also features five different cards for version 1.14, with online co-op being the first one unveiled. The developer teased that "we might finally answer a burning question that has been asked thousands of times." Vampire Survivors actually got local co-op roughly two years with version 1.6. However, that requires sharing a single screen, while online co-op will let each player run off on their own if they want."
Online cooperative multiplayer will arrive in Vampire Survivors this fall as part of update 1.14, supporting up to four players. Players can create or join lobbies using an ID to group up, and each player can roam stages independently rather than sharing a single screen. The update is one of five announced cards, with an additional announcement scheduled next week that hints at answering a frequently asked question. Local co-op has existed since version 1.6 but requires shared screen play. Recent free updates added crossover characters from Square Enix's SaGa series. Vampire Survivors was listed among the best games of 2022.
