Valor Mortis Is A First-Person Soulslike From The Ghostrunner Devs, And It Rules
Briefly

Valor Mortis is a first-person Soulslike game incorporating Metroidvania elements, set during Napoleon's 19th-century campaign across Eastern Europe. Players control William, a resurrected French soldier infected by a plague-like substance essential for saving humanity. The game aims to provide a unique, darker experience while maintaining a challenge for hardcore players. A pre-alpha demo demonstrates the game’s potential, showcasing an expansive world with current rough edges, and reflects the growth of the developer, One More Level, following their previous title, Ghostrunner.
With Valor Mortis, we wanted to try something new and original - a darker experience, while still offering players a true challenge, One More Level CEO Szymon Bryla writes in a press release.
In Valor Mortis, players will embody William, a soldier in the Grande Armée brought back to life from his battlefield grave.
