"During Ubisoft's Heroes of Might & Magic 30th Anniversary Showcase, the publisher revealed that Heroes of Might & Magic II: Gold and Heroes of Might & Magic III: Complete have been added to Game Pass."
"After making the announcement, Ubisoft's (and former GameSpot editor) Chris Watters said, "I can think of no better way to teach a new generation the meaning of key words like throng, necromancy, and logistics.""
"Ubisoft also revealed that the next game in the series, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, has been delayed to 2026."
"Recently, one of Xbox's original team members, Laura Fryer, called Microsoft's Game Pass price hike a "betrayal" of the trust that gamers had placed in the team."
Ubisoft marked the 30th anniversary of Heroes of Might & Magic by adding two classic entries to subscription services. Heroes of Might & Magic II: Gold and Heroes of Might & Magic III: Complete are available to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. The next series entry, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, has been delayed to 2026, while a demo is available on Steam. This will be the franchise's first new release since 2015's Might & Magic Heroes 7. A 30th Anniversary Retrospective book is available to preorder for $55 with a November 25 release date. An Xbox Game Pass price hike was described as a "betrayal" that could cause the generation to be remembered for greed.
