Tropico 7 is a new city-builder and dictator simulation launching in 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC, with day-one arrival on Game Pass. Gaming Minds Studios develops the game, continuing the series' lineage. The campaign features five maps following El Presidente, Penultimo and nemesis Victoria Guerra. Sandboxes include over 20 maps, ten extra scenarios and a random map generator. Archipelagos contain the largest islands in the series. A terraforming tool allows erasing mountains, creating beaches and forming entire islands. Political mechanics include faction councils, elections, speeches, edicts and landmark relocation. Strategic building synergies return to gameplay.
The series has changed hands a number of times over the years, with in 2019 being made by Limbic Entertainment. This time it is Gaming Minds Studios ( Port Royale 4, Railway Empire 2) that's handling development duties. Launching in 2026, the game is set to a new story across 5 maps where El Presidente must deal with nemesis Victoria Guerra, another 20 sandbox maps, 10 extra scenarios and a random map generator as well.
