In today's Nintendo Direct, the company revealed the release date for the long-awaited Switch 2, set for June 5. The new console features 256GB internal storage with improved speed, a 7.9-inch LCD screen supporting 1080p at 120fps, and HDR capabilities. The upgraded Joy-Con 2 will include magnetic attachment and a built-in noise-cancelling microphone for voice chat. Existing Switch games will be playable on the new console, with some titles getting enhancements marked by 'Nintendo Switch 2 Edition' labels. The Switch 2 will also support MicroSD Express cards for expanded storage.
