Persona 5: The Phantom X introduces a new storyline where players step into the shoes of Wonder, a different protagonist, navigating both high school life and battling in the Metaverse. However, the incorporation of live-service features and gacha mechanics creates a shift away from traditional RPG methods. While the game maintains familiar Persona elements, such as character development and combat, the reliance on gacha rolls and an energy system may deter some players accustomed to the series' straightforward progression style.
It's a shame I'm so hesitant, because the premise of The Phantom X is really compelling to me.
