The Most Interesting Game Out There Just Got Easier To Start Playing
Cradle of War introduces new players, called Capsuleers, to Exordium, a non-PvP starter space designed to reduce intimidation. The safe environment helps players learn core game mechanics with increasing complexity until they feel ready to explore the wider universe. New pilots can remain in Exordium for as long as needed, allowing learning at an individual pace. Other players can also enter the area to guide rookies through early steps. The learning focus includes how to make an impact across New Eden, preparing players to join fleet operations, larger conflicts, and new military campaigns added with the expansion.
"With the Cradle of War expansion, which launches on June 9, new players, known as Capsuleers, will be introduced to a non-PvP starter space called Exordium. This area will hold new players' hands a little tighter, introducing them to the game's core mechanics, gradually increasing in complexity until they feel brave enough to spread their wings and explore the rest of Eve's vast universe."
"You'll be surrounded by other new pilots, but seasoned players also have the option to head to this new area and help guide Capsuleers through the first steps of their journey, if they so wish. There's no limit on the amount of time that rookies can spend in this safe space, as developer Fenris Creations--formerly CCP Games--is keen to allow new players the time to learn at their own pace."
"New players can expect to learn about how to make an impact across New Eden, so they can gain the knowledge and experience to join in on fleet operations, larger conflicts, and the new military campaigns that are also being added with the Cradle of War expansion."
"But there are plenty of reasons to persevere. There's a vast community, and despite the perception that they may be initially hostile, they're actually an incredibly warm bunch of people. There's the 70-year-old Council of Stellar Management elected member, who admits she may have slipped up a few times on her journey to the top. There are countless attendees at Fanfest who are only too eager to give you tips or welcome you into their faction."
