More Hitman entries will follow beyond Hitman: World of Assassination. Hitman 3 was rebranded to Hitman: World of Assassination in 2023. A cooperative mode for World of Assassination is planned and expected to add new mechanics and combinations. IO Interactive is developing a James Bond title, 007: First Light, scheduled for March 2026. World of Assassination has received ongoing post-launch support, including an Elusive Target mission pairing Agent 47 with Eminem's alter ego Slim Shady and using Eminem as an intel source alongside handler Diane Burnwood. A third, unannounced multiplayer project called Project Fantasy is in development and described as extremely ambitious.
