The Helldivers 2 review bomb cape is finally here, a year after PSN backlash
Briefly

Helldivers 2, released in February 2024, quickly gained acclaim but faced backlash in May when it mandated Steam players to link PlayStation Network accounts. This decision led to a plummet in user ratings on Steam, prompting Sony to retract the requirement shortly after. In response to the controversy, Arrowhead Game Studios is introducing a 'review bomb cape' for all players, commemorating the event. The cape’s design reflects the sharp dip in Steam review scores, symbolizing the players' frustration over the initial account-linking announcement.
The new uniform piece will be available in all Super Destroyer Armories as soon as the rollout is complete.
The cape features a design depicting the game's Steam user review score graph in the wake of the controversy.
