Information surfaced ahead of the September State of Play that Alan Wake 2 will be the PS Plus game for October and will sit in the Essentials tier, allowing any paid PS Plus subscriber to download and play it. Alan Wake 2 is a survival-horror title released two years ago that expanded the Remedyverse after Control. The game follows FBI agent Saga Anderson investigating a cult in Bright Falls and continues narrative threads from the original, set 13 years later. The original Alan Wake remaster is currently on sale for $5 on PS5 and PS4 until September 25.
