The early access period for Battlefield 6's open beta has commenced, featuring significant player engagement and shared gameplay content. However, reports of cheating have emerged, with several players exploiting hacks like ESP and aimbot within hours of the beta's launch. Producer Alexia Christofi confirmed awareness of these issues and mentioned that some cheaters have already been banned. EA employed Secure Boot technology in an effort to counteract cheating, providing guides for players to enable this security feature on their PCs. The game is scheduled for official release on October 10.
Multiple social media posts have shown footage of cheaters in action, including one from X user ItsHapa that appears to show a player with the ability to view every player in the match--friend or foe--no matter where that player was on the map.
Battlefield 6 producer Alexia Christofi replied to ItsHapa's post directly addressing the posted clip, saying that the team was aware of the exploit and that she believed the 'player is already banned.'
Cheaters were able to play with 'ESP, aimbot & radar' within hours of the open beta's early access period.
EA has implemented Secure Boot technology for the PC version of the game, requiring players to modify the core settings of their PCs.
