Super Smash Bros. director's Kirby Air Riders will come to the Switch 2
Briefly

The Nintendo Direct has revealed exciting news about the upcoming Switch 2, including a new game titled Kirby Air Riders from legendary director Masahiro Sakurai. This game, a successor to Kirby Air Ride from the GameCube era, lets players glide with Kirby and friends on the Warp Star. While fans were hoping for a new Smash game, Kirby Air Riders appears to fill that fun gap. The Switch 2 will launch at $450 on June 5, alongside other titles like Mario Kart World, although Kirby Air Riders lacks a precise release date yet.
Kirby Air Riders comes over two decades after Sakurai designed Kirby Air Ride for the GameCube. After nearly a minute of build-up, the trailer shows Kirby riding along on the Warp Star machine.
While there's sadly no new Smash game on the horizon, you can glide around with Kirby and friends.
Nintendo says Kirby Air Riders will be released sometime this year, coinciding with the launch of the new Switch 2.
The new Switch 2 will be available for $450 on June 5, along with exciting titles like Mario Kart World.
