GSC Game World has announced the release of Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition, a remastered collection of the first three Stalker games, set to launch on May 20 for consoles and PC. This Enhanced Edition features upgraded graphics, such as improved lighting and reflections, upscaled textures, and enhanced cinematics. Additionally, players can utilize mods from the community. Console variants will include multiple performance modes, while PC users will benefit from Steam Workshop integration. Original owners receive free upgrades, positioning this remaster as both nostalgic and state-of-the-art.
The Enhanced Edition provides a fresh coat of paint to last year's Legends of the Zone bundle, introducing players to the original experiences in the Stalker series.
The remaster includes updated lighting and reflections, improved water effects and skyboxes, and upscaled cinematics, allowing a modern take on these classic games.
Console players will have performance options, ranging from Quality (4K/30 FPS) to Ultra Performance (upscaled 2K/120 FPS), along with keyboard and mouse support.
Despite facing serious challenges due to the ongoing war, GSC Game World successfully completed development on Stalker 2 while also preparing this Enhanced Edition.
