Square Enix revealed two upcoming games at the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, including a new title in the Octopath Traveler series. Octopath Traveler 0, releasing on December 4, 2025, is a turn-based RPG set before the first game. It allows full protagonist customization and features a revenge-driven storyline in the realm of Orsterra. The game will include over 30 recruitable characters and turn-based battles, along with the series' HD-2D visual style. Inspiration came from the mobile title, Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent, enhancing the narrative with new content and full voice acting.
