Sony's latest OLED, the Bravia 8 II, impresses with top-notch image clarity, vivid colors, solid HDR performance, and effective sound quality. Featuring a user-friendly Google TV interface, its gaming menu is robust. However, it has lower peak brightness compared to rivals and offers limited HDMI connectivity options. While it delivers a stunning viewing experience, its launch price exceeds that of similar models, positioning it as a premium choice in 2025's competitive OLED market.
For all its talents, the Bravia 8 II has some downsides compared to the phenomenal LG G5, including lower peak brightness and a backdrop that’s more deep charcoal than pitch black.
What Sony has done with Samsung's new display is, in a word, beautiful. The Bravia 8 II is brilliantly balanced with punchy brightness, expressive and natural colors.
