"The first PowerWash Simulator had some unexpected DLC after it was first released, as players could travel to Lara Croft's manor in a Tomb Raider crossover, clean up Midgar as part of a Final Fantasy 7 collaboration, and even engage in the nautical nonsense of SpongeBob SquarePants. Other DLC crossovers saw players explore the dirtier side of Wallace & Gromit, Warhammer 40,000, Shrek, and Back to the Future."
"We have a few ideas for what we'd like to see. These DLC packs didn't feature any characters like Doc Brown or Cloud Strife, but players could clean up iconic locations and props like the DeLorean time machine and the Imperium's illustrious instruments of war. FuturLab hasn't revealed which IP it'll be collaborating with yet, and it has added that content could change in the future, based on community feedback or development."
PowerWash Simulator 2 launches on October 23 across PC, Xbox Series X|S (via Game Pass) and PS5. FuturLab will prioritize fixes, optimizations, and quality-of-life improvements for the remainder of 2025. New game content will roll out through 2026, including three paid IP DLC packs and three free Caldera Chronicles jobs. The studio will also add bug fixes, new cosmetics, and community events. Previous PowerWash DLC included crossovers with Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy 7, SpongeBob SquarePants, Wallace & Gromit, Warhammer 40,000, Shrek, and Back to the Future.
