"The Pokemon Company is giving away another freebie for Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Players can now claim two free Mega Stones for Mewtwo, which will unlock a side quest to catch the legendary Pokemon. The two Mega Stones--Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y--can be downloaded via the Mystery Gift function. Once equipped, they allow the legendary Pokemon to Mega Evolve into Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y, respectively."
"Mewtwo is the second legendary to be added to the game via Mystery Gift. Players can also claim a free Diancite, which unlocks a quest to catch the mythical Pokemon Diancie. As with Mewtwo, you'll need to have completed the main story before you can undertake Diancie's side quest. Even more new Mega Evolutions are coming as part of Pokemon Legends: Z-A's Mega Dimension DLC, which launches on December 10."
Players can obtain Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y via the Mystery Gift feature in Pokémon Legends: Z-A to enable Mega Evolutions for Mewtwo. The Mega Stones are downloaded through Link Play > Mystery Gift > Get via Internet, and players should save after downloading. Mewtwo becomes catchable through a side mission unlocked after clearing the main story and visiting Lysandre Cafe, which leads to an encounter in Lysandre Labs. A free Diancite previously unlocked a Diancie quest under the same post-story conditions. Additional Mega Evolutions, including a Z Mega for Lucario, arrive in the Mega Dimension DLC on December 10.
