Earlier this year a revived Acclaim returned, and the company scheduled a Play Acclaim showcase for September 10 at 11:30 AM PT/2:30 PM ET to unveil its first new titles in over two decades. The teaser highlights several classic '90s console games, including Mortal Kombat 2, NBA Jam and Terminator 2, and ends with some of Neo's final lines from The Matrix. Acclaim's CEO said the company aims to channel the energy and chaos that made Acclaim memorable into something new rather than chasing the past. The relaunch pledged support for indie developers and to reignite classic franchises, while new leadership includes Jeff Jarrett and several entertainment and investment partners.
