Take-Two has hired former Perfect Dark director Brian Horton and ex-The Initiative head Darrell Gallagher to build a new studio within 2K Games, with Gallagher confirming the move on LinkedIn. Microsoft's Perfect Dark reboot was first announced in 2020, showcased with a gameplay trailer in 2024, and then canceled in July, with The Initiative subsequently shut down. Reports indicate Take-Two attempted to save the project before creating the new studio. Sales data for Elden Ring's DLC and a Stranger Things crossover were also noted.
