Nintendo's new Fire Emblem mobile game has an Among Us-style twist
"One of the three allies participating in each battle is secretly a treacherous disciple of shadow. Players choose to take on the role of either a disciple of light, aiming to find their way through the labyrinth, or a disciple of shadow. After the initial battle, players vote to determine who they believe is the treacherous disciple of shadow. The outcome of the vote affects whether the next battle is more favorable or more challenging."
"Nintendo is releasing a new mobile game, Fire Emblem Shadows. The company says the game is a spinoff of the series and "introduces a new style of battles featuring role-playing and social deduction." Nintendo says Fire Emblem Shadows is available for iOS and Android, and while it's a free-to-play app, it will have optional in-app purchases. Nintendo also recently announced a new entry in the series for Switch 2, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave."
Fire Emblem Shadows is a mobile spinoff combining role-playing and social-deduction battle mechanics. Each battle groups three allies, one secretly a treacherous disciple of shadow, creating hidden-traitor dynamics. Players select either disciple of light, seeking a path through a labyrinth, or disciple of shadow, aiming to deceive others. After the first battle players vote on who they suspect is the traitor; the vote's result alters whether the subsequent battle is easier or harder. Correct identification by disciples of light or successful deception by the disciple of shadow determines next-battle conditions. The game is free-to-play on iOS and Android with optional in-app purchases.
