Nintendo announced that select Nintendo Switch games will receive free updates for the upcoming Switch 2, enhancing graphics, adding new features, and optimizing performance. Notable titles such as Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury and The Legend of Zelda series will benefit from improved frame rates and HDR support. The introduction of GameShare and GameChat will encourage social play by allowing users to connect and interact while gaming. However, after the initial offer period by March 31, 2026, a Nintendo Switch Online membership will be necessary for GameChat usage.
