Nintendo launches another Switch Online test program for 40,000 players

Nintendo has announced a new Playtest Program, aiming for 40,000 testers, an increase from 10,000 from last year's event. Participation is limited to active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members, available on both the original Switch and Switch 2. Eligible participants must be 18 or older, residing in certain regions, and may apply individually or in groups. The program application period opens from July 18 to July 21, with different selection criteria for Japan and other regions. Previous playtests involved a Minecraft-like game emphasizing collaborative building.
Nintendo is looking for 40,000 testers for a new Playtest Program, expanding from the previous 10,000 participants. Active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members can apply.
Participants must be at least 18 years old and registered in specific regions including Japan, United States, UK, France, and others. Applications open from July 18 to July 21.
The selection process will include a raffle for Japanese participants while others will be chosen on a first come first serve basis. Group applications of up to four are welcome.
Although the specific purpose of the playtest hasn’t been announced, participants previously played a Minecraft-like game involving building structures in a shared world.
