August 2025 brings new titles to the Xbox Game Pass library in two waves. The first wave includes Assassin's Creed Mirage and 9 Kings. The second wave features Gears of War: Reloaded, a remastered version with enhanced graphics and multiplayer capabilities. Additional games include Persona 4: Golden, Void/Breaker, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Some games will be removed from the service on August 31, such as Borderlands 3 and Sea of Stars, which users should play before the deadline.
The biggest game here is the day-one release of Gears of War: Reloaded, a remaster of the Xbox 360 cover-based shooter.
This version of Gears of War has been overhauled graphically, featuring 4K textures, revamped lighting and shadows, and 120 FPS in multiplayer modes.
Other releases to look forward to this month include Persona 4: Golden and Void/Breaker, a day-one release for PC Game Pass subscribers.
Several games will also be removed from Game Pass on August 31, including Borderlands 3 and Sea of Stars.
