New PS5 System Update Arrives Wednesday With Power Saving Mode And DualSense Sync Upgrade
"Sony teased this PS5 update back in July, elaborating on how to sync the DualSense to multiple devices and sharing plans for the console's Power Saver mode. Once the update releases, you can sync the DualSense to a maximum of four devices. Essentially, you assign each device to one of the four face buttons (triangle, circle, etc) when you pair it via Bluetooth, and can hot swap between them by pressing the PS button and the relevant action button simultaneously."
"A PlayStation 5 system update arrives tomorrow, September 17, bringing the ability to pair a DualSense to multiple devices at once. The update will also introduce a Power Saver mode to the PS5, which future updates to games like Death Stranding 2, Demon's Souls, and Ghost of Yōtei will capitalize on. To update your console, you'll need to go to Settings. Then select System, System Software, and finally System Software Update and Settings."
A PS5 system update on September 17 enables pairing a DualSense controller to multiple devices simultaneously and introduces a Power Saver mode. DualSense can be synced to up to four devices by assigning each device to a face button and hot-swapped using the PS button plus that face button. Power Saver reduces performance on compatible games to lower power usage, disables VR mode, and may affect certain gameplay features. Game updates will make use of Power Saver. System update path: Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings. Power Saver activation: Settings > System > Power Saving > Use Power Saver.
