Interestingly, they note that the early signs point to this being a direct sequel to the first game, and potentially set before the events of Dead Rising 2. However, they do note that they haven't been able to confirm this."

"What they have confirmed is that Frank West is coming back, which makes sense since last year's remaster helped introduce him to a new generation of gamers. As for the setting, the new game will apparently take place in Hollywood, within a massive enclosed movie set, which sounds like a pretty awesome scenario. Frank will find himself going up against a crazed film director who shoves Frank and some other survivors through trials in a bid to shoot the perfect movie."
