Deadpool joins Marvel Rivals Season 6 on January 16 and can assume Duelist, Vanguard, or Strategist roles. He earns XP during matches by performing "stylish" actions and can spend that XP to upgrade abilities via a comic-book mechanic tied to his chosen role. As Duelist he attacks with dual pistols and katanas; as Strategist he can use those weapons to heal teammates; as Vanguard he deploys unicorn plushies that create protective shields. Gameplay includes flashy visual effects, frequent voice lines, and chaotic screen effects. Season 6 also adds a Collector's museum map, photo mode, a dueling arena, and major balance and reward changes.
