Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy Sephiroth Card May Hide Hints For Final Fantasy Remake Part 3
Briefly

Wizards of the Coast has revealed details about their upcoming Magic: The Gathering - Final Fantasy expansion, featuring a double-faced card of Sephiroth with new artwork by Tetsuya Nomura. The card illustrates adult Sephiroth and his final form, Safer Sephiroth, offering a unique design that interacts when two cards are aligned. Nomura hints there are significant changes to Safer Sephiroth's design compared to the original game, which will intrigue fans but remain undisclosed. The expansion launches on June 13, with prerelease events starting June 6.
Nomura says that he specifically designed the art to match up vertically: "if you manage to get two of the same card and line them up, you'll see how the original illustration looked."
However, Nomura also commented that one of the halves may seem different to eagle-eyed FF7 fans. "There is also a reason that the design of Safer Sephiroth is different from the original game," Nomura said, "but I unfortunately can't share more about that."
