Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is getting a new mode to coincide with the Switch 2 launch
Briefly

Capcom has announced an exciting new mode for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, entitled Otherworldly Ventures, set to release on June 5 alongside the Switch 2. This new mode incorporates roguelike elements, resembling an endless mode where players begin with limited abilities and can enhance their skills after defeating enemy waves. Developers have streamlined gameplay by removing the need for fetching tasks and accelerating crystal collection, resulting in a more fun experience. Notably, this free mode will also be available on various platforms, like PS4, PS5, and Xbox, enhancing its accessibility.
To make the roguelike-inspired mechanics work, the developers have simplified other aspects of the gameplay. Protagonist Soh won't have to rescue villagers and crystals will accumulate more quickly.
Despite launching alongside the Switch 2, Otherworldly Ventures will be available for every version of the game on June 5. This includes PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows and Steam.
The new mode, Otherworldly Ventures, introduces some roguelike mechanics to the action/strategy game, allowing players to start with limited abilities and choose upgrades.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a fun hybrid of third-person combat and tower-defense. We heaped praise on the game in our official review.
