Kojima Has Already Written Death Stranding 3's "Concept"
Briefly

Hideo Kojima said he is not planning to make Death Stranding 3 at the moment because the ending of Death Stranding 2 served as a finale for both entries. He has already written the concept for a third game and expressed hope that someone else will create it. He made similar comments before the launch of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The Death Stranding franchise has achieved critical and commercial success and is being expanded with a film from A24. Kojima is currently developing OD with Jordan Peele and Xbox and working on an espionage project called Physint with Sony. He intends to keep creating until he dies.
Back in May--prior to the launch of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach--the developer said he had ideas for Death Stranding 3 but wouldn't make the game himself. Since then, it seems Kojima's position on the matter has not changed. What Kojima is saying sounds somewhat like Naughty Dog said about Uncharted. After making a series of successful games, the company said it would not make Uncharted 5 but was open to the idea of a different studio coming in to take the reins.
The Death Stranding games have proven to be critically and commercially successful, and Kojima is further fleshing out the world with a movie from A24. Given that, it would follow that there may be a business opportunity to make a third game, but Kojima also has plenty of other projects in the works. Right now, Kojima is developing a new game called OD with Oscar-winning director Jordan Peele and Xbox, as well as an espionage-themed game called Physint with Sony.
