A remake of Jak and Daxter was pitched to Sony by developer Sanzaru but was not commissioned. Travis Howe, a former animator, shared a snippet of the pitch. The project aimed to update scenes from the original game. Howe expressed pride in the animated scene created for the pitch. There has been no new Jak and Daxter game since 2009's The Lost Frontier, which was developed by High Impact Games after Naughty Dog passed on the series.
