IO Interactive is developing 007 First Light as a modernized origin story that places a brash, inexperienced twenty-something James Bond at the start of his MI6 career. Patrick Gibson portrays this early Bond, who combines cunning with exceptional charisma and resourcefulness while learning through missions that sometimes go awry. The game applies Hitman-style immersive, open-ended sandbox design to tightly crafted levels offering multiple objectives and player-driven approaches. The Game Awards revealed a new antagonist played by Lenny Kravitz. Cinematic and narrative direction focuses on tracing how Bond becomes the iconic globe-trotting spy.
