"The expansion will add new zones in the Blood Elf homelands, player housing, and a wealth of new content, alongside a UI revision focused on implementing features most players currently have to mod in."
World of Warcraft will release its 11th expansion, Midnight, early next year. The expansion adds new zones in the Blood Elf homelands, player housing, and a wealth of new content. The update includes a UI revision that integrates features commonly provided by player mods. Speculation arose that UI streamlining could signal preparation for a console port. Director Ion Hazzikostas denied any console plans and said Blizzard would openly announce active work toward console releases if such plans existed. Many modern MMOs ship on consoles as well as PC, and Microsoft now owns Blizzard.
