This lets the Switch 2's built-in microphone use your voice, and the resident will respond to you. The dialogue box provided for the resident will reveal their direction. Follow the dialogue box on your screen to easily locate the resident, who may otherwise have been difficult to find."
Animal Crossing: New Horizons 3.0 adds a Switch 2-exclusive megaphone that allows players to call and locate island residents using the console's built-in microphone. The megaphone is sold at Nook's Cranny from the shop cabinet for 3,500 Bells and is not available in Switch 1 shops. Players upgrading to Switch 2 can transfer saves with the island transfer tool available in the Nintendo eShop. To use the megaphone, equip it from inventory, press and hold A, and call a resident's name; the resident will respond and an on-screen dialogue box will indicate their direction, including roaming visitors like Resetti.
