"As the size of video games continues to expand thanks to greater resolution textures, uncompressed audio, and more detailed 3D models, space on hard drives is more of a premium than ever. Some especially large titles have begun to adopt the approach of letting players pick and choose what is installed to help save on that coveted storage, and Battlefield 6 is no different."
"However, once you install them, removing the various parts is hidden away a few menus deep, and unless you know the option is available, it isn't immediately clear that you can, outside of the fact that once you beat the campaign, Battlefield 6 lets you know you can uninstall the campaign, accompanied by a big button. Here is where you can find the uninstall (and install) options right away, in addition to how to pick what parts you want to install on Steam!"
Battlefield 6 supports selective installation of components to reduce disk usage. Steam defaults to installing all components when initiating install, while consoles allow picking single-player, multiplayer, and high‑res texture components individually. In-game installation and removal are accessible through Settings → System → Setup → Install / Uninstall → Edit. That menu opens a content-management screen listing multiplayer, the single‑player campaign, and high‑res textures for both modes. Choosing an item opens a screen to install or uninstall that content. Removing parts is a few menus deep and not immediately obvious unless prompted.
