"Hollow Knight: Silksong's first patch has been announced, and it makes the game easier, at least somewhat. The new update includes a "slight difficulty reduction" for the early-game bosses Moorwing and Sister Splinter. Additionally, Sandcarvers now do less damage. The new Silksong patch also includes a variety of fixes. Players should no longer get stuck floating after down-bouncing on certain projectiles, while Silk Snippers in Chapel of the Reaper could previously get stuck out of bounds but that should be fixed now."
"There is no word yet on when the new Silksong patch will arrive. Team Cherry said it's already working on more fixes for the second patch. "If you have an issue and you don't see the solution in the list, we may be working on it," the developers said. Players can visit the Silksong help site to see temporary solutions for critical bugs. Silksong launched on September 4 and had a massive debut, rising high on the Steam charts."
The first Silksong patch reduces early-game difficulty slightly, specifically easing the Moorwing and Sister Splinter encounters, and reduces Sandcarver damage. The update fixes numerous bugs including players remaining cloakless after the Slab escape, wishes being incompletable in late game, getting stuck floating after down-bouncing on certain projectiles, inaccessible courier deliveries, and Silk Snippers becoming out of bounds in the Chapel of the Reaper. The patch also corrects craft bind behavior, Lace tool deflect soft-locks, Claw Mirror inversion, Snitch Pick rewards, and removes the float override input. No arrival date has been given, and Team Cherry is already working on additional fixes. A help site offers temporary solutions for critical bugs.
