Hades 2 Is Leaving Early Access, Launching This Month
"After a ton of Mario news, Hades II showed up 30 minutes into this morning's Nintendo Direct and stole the show by announcing it is finally leaving Early Access later this month. Supergiant Games is finally putting out the 1.0 version of its highly-anticipated roguelike on September 25. It's coming to Switch, Switch 2, Mac, and PC, and a physical edition will launch on November 20th. Check out the launch trailer below:"
"If you're trying to decide where to play, the Switch 2 version of Hades II will support a high 120 frames per second when played on TV, with the original Switch supporting 60fps. If you don't have a Switch 2 yet, Hades II will support a free upgrade to the system if you own it on Switch and finally get around to buying the new system later."
"Hades II launched in Early Access last year, and has been getting periodic updates leading to the true "launch" this month. If you've been playing the game in this early stage, you've seen how much work Supergiant has put into improving it over the past year with extensive patches, but if you've been waiting for the game to be "complete," the wait is nearly over."
Hades II reaches full 1.0 release on September 25 for Switch, Switch 2, Mac, and PC, with a physical edition releasing November 20. The Switch 2 build supports up to 120 FPS on TV while the original Switch supports 60 FPS, and a free upgrade path exists for Switch owners who later purchase a Switch 2. PC versions will support cross-save between Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game entered Early Access last year and received regular updates and extensive patches. Console availability appears tied to a timed Nintendo exclusivity that may delay PlayStation and Xbox releases. The game features Supergiant’s signature art, music, voice acting, and fast-paced combat.
