"The 1.0 version of Hades 2 is here, along with an assortment of questions and vague pointers about how to actually finish the story. Whether you're jumping into the game for the first time or after being caught up with the story available during Early Access, the path to seeing the resolution of the story and hitting the credits is far from clear."
"One of the first questions that might come to mind, especially if you were all caught up with the Early Access content ahead of the 1.0 release, is how many runs you need to do in order to finish Hades 2. Well, the answer is around 12 runs total. This is comprised of seven runs in the underworld (Chronos runs) and about five on the surface (Typhon runs)."
"Completing a Chronos run once unlocked the Dissolution of Time incantation. From there, I proceeded to do four more runs (the reason why is explained below), which is when I hit a wall. The characters you encounter during these story sections will be fairly blunt about it, so don't worry about missing it. If anything, just do five Chronos runs, and then switch over to Typhon runs."
Hades 2 1.0 requires roughly a dozen runs to reach story resolution: seven Chronos runs in the underworld and about five Typhon runs on the surface. Chronos runs are faster and often advisable to begin with because one Chronos run unlocks the Dissolution of Time incantation. Multiple Chronos runs (about five) may be needed before encountering a narrative obstacle that prompts switching to Typhon runs. The Prophecy Foretold icon indicates correct progression. Key tasks include completing specific incantations such as Dissolution of Time and Disintegration of Monstrosity and acquiring new materials like Entropy to craft those incantations.
