GTA 6 Unlikely To Feature This Longtime In-Game Radio Host
Briefly

Lazlow Jones, known for voicing DJ Lazlow in the Grand Theft Auto series, expressed skepticism about his involvement in GTA 6, signaling that his departure from Rockstar in 2020 makes it unlikely. He has transitioned to co-founding Absurd Ventures, where he holds the role of executive producer, writer, and director. Absurd Ventures is working on various projects, including an audio fiction series featuring Andrew Lincoln and a comic series. GTA 6 is scheduled for a May 2026 release, and Rockstar is expected to provide updates during an upcoming earnings briefing.
"We left in 2020, so I doubt it," Jones told Nerd Reactor about appearing in GTA 6. "I loved working on those games with Dan. I was on the radio in GTA 3 and all the GTAs after that. It was an amazing journey working on GTA for 20 years."
Jones now holds the title of executive producer, writer, and director at Absurd Ventures, which has the "creative vibe and grit" reminiscent of the early days at Rockstar.
Absurd's projects thus far have included the audio fiction series A Better Paradise featuring The Walking Dead's Andrew Lincoln, along with the comic series American Caper.
As for GTA 6, the game is set for release in May 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with expected updates from parent publisher Take-Two during their August 7 earnings briefing.
