Ghost of Yōtei Legends launched on March 10 as a multiplayer co-op mode for Ghost of Yōtei. A major content expansion, Raid mode, arrived on April 10. Sucker Punch confirmed that no further major updates are planned for the co-op mode. Lead Designer Darren Bridges stated that the Raid update was the last major planned update and that it finishes the story of the Yōtei Six within that mode. Players expressed disappointment because Ghost of Tsushima’s multiplayer mode received multiple major updates and its standalone support lasted longer. The decision is notable given strong early sales for Ghost of Yōtei, including 3.3 million units sold in the first month.

"“Ghost of Yōtei Legends , the multiplayer co-op mode for Sucker Punch Productions' Ghost of Yōtei , launched earlier this year on March 10 and received its first major content expansion, Raid mode, on April 10.”"
