"At this time, these increases will only affect new purchases and will not affect your current subscription for the market in which you reside, as long as you are on an auto-recurring plan,"
"Should you choose to cancel your plan and repurchase, you will be charged at the new current rate."
"for now."
"at least 60 days in advance"
Microsoft announced a major Xbox Game Pass price increase, including a 50% hike for Game Pass Ultimate. New Ultimate subscribers in the US already pay $30/month, while many retailers still sell $20 codes. Existing US subscribers will start paying higher rates on November 4. In Austria, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Korea, Poland, and India, existing auto-recurring subscribers can keep their current rates so long as they do not cancel; cancellation and repurchase will charge the new rate. Microsoft said the temporary status is due to local requirements and promised at least 60 days' notice before price changes.
